- my office mates. They were a little hard to scan on a flat bed but I am sure you can make out what they are. I took clear 2" tall votive cups and wrapped with a piece of Stampin' Up Jolly Holiday DSP. Then wrapped some 1/4" picot edged ribbon above that. Stamped the ornament from SU Tags Til Christmas in Cherry Cobbler or Old Olive, punch with SU ornament punch and adhered with dimensionals. At the top of the ornament I adhered a coordinating ribbon, inserted a votive candle and they are completed. I made 32 of these for about 75 cents apiece. great way to use scraps from another project of cards made for a swap back in October.
I have been reading many blogs lately and decided it was time I get with the program. I will attempt to get the hang of this and tell you a little about myself and things I am interested in without boring you all to death. Hopefully, you will find some of it interesting. Comments are always welcome
Welcome to my World
Welcome to my little corner of the vast God planned domain. I plan to share mostly my card projects here, you might even possible see some scrapping, quilt projects, and photography. Who knows I may even try other other craft projects. I am also going to share a selection of little recipe cards I have collected over the past few years - scrapped, of course. There may even be some little things of greatness of my daily life. Every now and then, I might even vent!

This is such a great idea! I am glad things are going well and you are back in your house. That's really great news.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute idea, these are the perfect gift. I've never thought to do that. I have tons of votive holders, I think I may decorate some for myself.
ReplyDeleteI made some votives for someone two years ago. (Holy crud, has it really been that long??) I loved them; I used a black and white patterned paper set that I purchased from The Dollar Tree, and used red cardstock as the accent color.
ReplyDeleteIs the price mentioned with or without the price of the holders? If with, wherever did you find them that cheap?
