Welcome to my World

Welcome to my little corner of the vast God planned domain. I plan to share mostly my card projects here, you might even possible see some scrapping, quilt projects, and photography. Who knows I may even try other other craft projects. I am also going to share a selection of little recipe cards I have collected over the past few years - scrapped, of course. There may even be some little things of greatness of my daily life. Every now and then, I might even vent!

MISS THIS BLOGGING

Oh my goodness, I have been so overwhelmed latedly. Right after my last post started a whirlwind of things and emotions. We decided to paint and carpet our bedroom so started to tear everything apart and to have delay after delay. I got the flu and was out of comission for 3 days, missing 1 day of work. Next to weeks I am trying to play catch up. working in the house in the evening when possible. Well the day before Thanksgiving I had plan to paint the room and have it ready for dcarpet on Tues. followed by a trip to Montana to celebrate dad's 90th. Well instead Dan says I need to go to the emergency room. 7 hours later they finally decide he has meningitis and will be hospitalized for 3-4 days. Ok , so he is in the hospital, I cannot paint by muself due to back issues and what I am going to do about the part I have planned. Well clean more house, had dinner at his cousins, spent some time at the hospital with Dan. While at the hospital I get a phone call from my daughter telling me she is engaged. I am so excited I can hardly talk. She and Matt are coming home for Christmas. Well on Friday Dan gets discharged by a Dr he has never seen before and says he would rather be home by himself than there.

So I drag him home and Eric, my son, and I head to Montana on Sat for Thanksgiving dinner and the party Sunday. Had all kinds of people checking on Dan hourly. The 90the party was absolutely fabulous and my son and I had a couple of great visits during those 3 hour drives. Missed another day of work Monday not feeling well and this definitely was not a day to miss work at the end of the month with the Federal Special Ed count. Oh well. Then played catch up all month of Dec. I actually finished the piles yesterday. just in time for my 2 week vacation.

Well, the following weekend Dan is still pretty sick and sleeps all the time so I hired a girlfriend to pain the room, accomplished in 5 hours - ceiling and all 4 walls. Carpet then arrived on Thursday. Friday Eric takes me to Lion King - he and sister bought the tickets for my birthday so another evening of house work shot. Oh darn, I would not have missed the play for anything. Then I have been trying to do baking rearrange things in this house for another guest and decorate in the meatime.

Today I am putting up the tree and finishing the decoration this weekend. Monday I an planning to get the extra bedroom dug out so Matt has a place to sleep and the scrapbook room floor emptied for her or her brother on cushions and the on the sofa. Tuesday I will go to the dentist, come home and be sure everything is in order and make some homemade noodles. Go to the airport at 1:30 to pick up daughter and soon to be son-in-law. I think we will be doing some wedding planning also during the four days they are home. Wed evening we are having a little meet and greet Mat and engagement party so will be getting ready for that during the day. She also want to check out a wedding dress shop that day. Hopefully Thurs and Fri will be pretty quiet for us with maybe a friend or two dropping in. They are leaving on Sat at 5:30 am for Dallas to meet his parents.

Now do you see any reason I have not had time to post and do much crafting lately. Do need to get a couple of swap group cards out before the end of the month so may post them. soon.,

Merry Christmas to all - Jesus is the Reason for the Season -and a very Blessed and Happy New year.

  1. Those home projects always take longer than anticipated - seems like there's always a few unplanned surprises along the way. Take care and have a wonderful and Merry Christmas. Hugs, Dru
