Welcome to my World

Welcome to my little corner of the vast God planned domain. I plan to share mostly my card projects here, you might even possible see some scrapping, quilt projects, and photography. Who knows I may even try other other craft projects. I am also going to share a selection of little recipe cards I have collected over the past few years - scrapped, of course. There may even be some little things of greatness of my daily life. Every now and then, I might even vent!

Wow What a Vacation - Our God is Awesome

We got home late evening yesterday after being on the road for two whole weeks in our new motorhome. New to us but it is a 33' '93 SeaBreeze and we enjoyed it tremendously. It is awesome how God is able to provide - we purchased it just a week before we left and could not believe we got such a great deal on such a fairly unused vehicle. I has to spiff it up a bit from sitting for two years and air it out but it was great otherwise. There are a few minor details that need to be fixed but overall workage was great. We put 45oo miles on in two weeks and saw so much of the beautiful states of UT and AZ. God has created such a gorgeous and free country for us to live in and so many of us take if for granted. I know there several out there who would die to see such beauty but cannot afford to do so. Dan and I are so blessed and we are really beginning to realize it after this trip. Overall it was a wonderful trip and we had such a good time enjoyding all of the great outdoors and wonders of it all.

Yes, there was one bad thing - the weather. It was so stinking hot I thought I was going to suffocate a couple of times. How do those of you in the south handle it?!? We went to Lake Havasu City AZ to visit Dan's brother and It so to stifling that day. It was 116 in the shade and the low that night was only 95. I as so glad we had air conditioning in our home. Most of the weeks it was close to or over a 100 in those canyons. We visited Arches NP, Canyonlands NP, Bryce NP and Zion NP in UT and the Grand Canyon in AZ - brom both the south and the north rims. What a sight to see. Not only the depths and the widths but the awesome colors of it all.

I praise God everyday now for giving me the chance to live my dreams as a free person and to travel with a great husband like I do. It's a good thing we both like to travel. I did make a few cards while on vacation in the MH but got them ready to send off before I scanned them. We spent most of the time traveling, sightseeing and a few cards games in in the evenings before bed. Now I have to get busy with catching up on my Stampin Up orders, Card swaps, challenges and postings.

  2. Glad you had a great trip! My only complaint about living in the south is the humidity. Some days it's so humid it's suffocating. This summer has been mild, in regards to the heat, compared to last summer. Last summer, even the pool water was warm. We get an inch of snow here and EVERYTHING shuts down! LOL
